What would you do if you had six months to live
Would you spend it makin' love and talkin' with your kids
Would you fly to Tahiti, throw a party for your friends
Eat pies and cakes, be a vegetarian?

What would you do if you had one day to love
Would you tell me that you love me when push comes to shove
Would you say it don't matter what was said in the past
That there's only time for love, and only love will last

What would you think if your life came undone
And in spite of your plans your race had been run
Would you count it unfair, there's so much here to do
Or would you say "I've lived a rich life"?

What would you do if the governor called
You been granted a stay, now you won't take the fall
Would you go back to the grind, and the mind-numbing shows
Or would you take your reprieve as a mandate to grow

What would you think if your life was transformed
And instead of the end, you'd just been reborn
Would you count it a joy, there's so much here to do
Would you say "I'll live a rich life"?
